Nastassia Maltsava

Nastassia Maltsava is a classically trained Belarusian-American NYC-based actress who has played roles from Chekhov and Shakespeare to devised and new plays, as well as in several independent films. Nastassia graduated with an M.F.A. in acting from the A.R.T./Moscow Art Theater School Institute at Harvard University. She studied Chekhov during a residence at Moscow Art Theater School and etude work with the famous Russian actor and director Konstantin Raikin.

Nastassia is currently working on the play The Marriage of Mademoiselle Beulemans with the Generation Theatre in San Francisco. She has also recently played Solange in Filth Can't Love Filth - a modern adaptation of Jean Genet's The Maids, which Nastassia co-wrote and produced. Her other recent stage credits include the avant-garde productions of The Toupee Artist and The Old Woman at the Bad Neighbour Theatre, the A.R.T. Institute’s production of Dying For It (Margarita), Moscow Art Theater School’s production of Three Sisters (Natasha), and the lead role in a new two-hander play Audition (Anna) at the Generation Theatre. She also performed in Stage Door (Olga), A Big Mess (Innamorata), A Profitable Position (Anna Vyshnevskaya), The Lonely Voice (Ensemble), The Provoked Wife (Belinda), BooKKeepers (Meunier), Marius (Fanny). Nastassia’s recent film credits include Pack of Cigarettes and The Adventures of Cheap Chad.

Originally from Belarus, Nastassia is fluent in Russian and English. She has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and worked in a Silicon Valley tech startup and at Google. Nastassia also enjoys dancing and has performed at Ariel Dance Productions.
